I don't recollect ever seeing the end. I was rooting for the iceberg, and it took an hour and half for the ship to hit the damn thing. It appeared that the rest of the movie was going to stay afloat longer than the ship so I sailed off for Murphy's Strip Bar and Armenian Grill.

If by the word "ending" you are referring to the moment when the credits had finished rolling and the lights came up in the theatre, I'd say I was never more happy to be finished with a movie in my life.

Nothing about "Titanic" was sad, or emotional, or moving, or joyous, or exciting, or interesting, or...anything, quite frankly. It was a glorified soap opera that prostituted an actual historical tragedy for profit. Despicable piece of shit. The only emotion I felt watching it was happiness that I was seeing it on a bootleg copy that a guy in Brooklyn had given me for free, rather than wasting a hard-earned $10 to see it in a theatre.

I thought the ending was good. The 100 year old Rose threw the Heart of the Ocean back into the ocean and dies peacefully in her bed showing pictures of her life, then goes to titanic heaven see everyone again and taking Jack's hand. I agree that the music really added to the drama. I admit I had a box of Puffs on my lap watching this the first time I saw it on vhs at home.

I wanted to cheer when Leo's dead weight sank to the bottom. It gave me false hope that the bore fest was over, but it drags on for another 15 minutes

An open letter to the people that wrote a high score on this one: YOU KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! Any emotion invested in the Titanic sinking should have been addressed way before you hit the theatre or turned on the player. Geez. Vote for a worthy moment.

I'm afraid I was on the verge of cheering just because this awful, maudlin piece of self-indulgent crap was over.

I cried about the other people dying, but not Jack. I had heard a couple days before I went to see Titanic that Jack died at the end. When you know what's gonna happen, it's not as sad.

Please. We've known since 1912 that the ship sinks and everybody dies....why was everyone surprised?

Very sad. I almost cried the first time I saw it. The music really adds a lot to the scene. I think the song is called Ocean of Memories or something like that. I have it on the CD. It's a very touching scene. Rose lived a good long life, and now, it's come to an end. But first, she must give up the one thing that she holds to. Give it back up to the ocean.

Ooh, the ship sinks! Didn't see that coming! Please, a truly creative story would have had a great twist with the ship being rescued by great explorers from the twenty-fourth century...or something...:)

An almost 4. It was sad to see Jack die in the water. After what they went through, I would hope they could could end up together. I was at least hoping that Rose would have a baby and it would have been Jack's or something. At least she did not end up with that jerk she was going to be forced to marry.
