yucko! Creepy dude with way too much botox on his forehead. He's kind of a joke
GenghisTheHun 10/20/2005
He was tolerable, but Clinton beat him to the prize. He is all through now with the Viet Nam stuff in his background.
GOPmember76 07/23/2005
One Democrat I would have ran to the polls to vote for.
mommyofsix 09/24/2004
A man of integrity??? I don't think so!! This guy reminds me of a blow fish.....all he does is blow his horn on what he is going to do for our country and not give us any answer on how he is going to do it. If the good people of this country want to be taxed to death vote for Kerrey. Personally when I go to the polls I'm going to vote for someone who doesn't want to rape my wallet!

Dirty Harry 05/01/2004
Talk about a camera and media hog! He whines and complains that he & the 9/11 panel need to meet with the Prez and then he has the gall to walk out before the session is over. This guy is washed up. Somebody needs to remind him that nobody cares to see him anymore.
kyeseki 04/09/2004
Please don't cry on camera.

What IS it with guys named Kerry/Kerrey and the Botox? I saw this Bob Kerrey impersonator at the 9-11 hearings and couldn't believe it. Botox, brow lift and a Prince Valiant haircut. Do these smarmy old men think that gives them credibility? Oh, yeah, and he's a bitter partisan, too. Note to webmaster: I think this fool's name would be better placed in the 15 minutes of fame category. Loser!!!
Sundiszno 02/22/2004
Why is it that liberal politicians lie about their lying? I thought that our politicians were supposed to be proud of this country, and make this country proud of them. Kerry just does not fit that bill.
tdubya71 01/30/2004
I'm from his home state and he sucks. The only reason he ever won an election in strongly Republican Nebraska is that Democratic support in Lincoln and Omaha canceled out any advantage the GOP candidates had.
buckey 01/30/2004
Brilliant and honorable.
jgls 12/22/2003
would have been the best democratic candidate this year
andyskang 08/19/2003
Bob Kerrey would make a great President and is in my opinion the best Democrat for defeating Pres. Bush in 2004. Many here forgot to mention that he does have experience as an executive when he served as governor of Nebraska (in addition to his two terms in the Senate). Mr. Kerrey now is on the board of the Concord Coalition, a group that works to solve the problems facing Social Security and health care in our country. Serving as president of the New School University is hardly something to knock or belittle; it has given Mr. Kerrey the opportunity in the last few years to take a step back and look at U.S. public policy in many different areas. Such intellectual curiosity can't be found in our current president. As far as allegations of war crimes in Vietnam, his unit is being accused by one rogue member (selling a book mind you) and supported by two Viet Cong villagers who were there. Who do you believe? The SEALs were sent there to do a job, not intentionally shoot women and children. This wasn't My Lai and people shouldn't confuse innocents caught in a combat zone with war crimes. Calling somebody a "babykiller" when they don't know for sure is extreme and careless. In addition, unless somebody has hard evidence of Mr. Kerrey running his businesses in an intentionally illegal manner, they shouldn't sling mud on a great American who has spent a good part of his life serving this country.

Kerrey is perhaps the most motley mixed bag in American politics. A war hero, in a most unpopular, illegal and immoral war, who had part of his leg blown off as a result of doing his bit for supposedly Protecting and Preserving Our Freedoms, yet was, by his own admission, a woman slaughter and babykiller in the proud tradition of Bill Calley. He was a successul restauranteur, made plenty of $$$ as a result, but was cited many, many times for labor law, health and environmental violations in the course of this. He did have a fairly distinguished career as a Senator, but really doesn't have the inspiring kind of personality to realistically pursue higher office than that. I hear he's doing a fine job as President of The New School, which indicates he's an able administrator, but running a small college that has a few graduate programs hardly requires the level of talent and leadership necessary to be Commander-In-Chief. But then again, just consider who's presently taking up space in the Oval Office: one of the least qualified, capable and honest dullards to hold the highest office in the land, a Pretender-In-Chief who wasn't even the Choice of the People. So maybe there's presidential hope for Kerrey yet, as anyone would be an improvement over the Bozo we're saddled with until 2004.

Who?

I respect Bob Kerrey for his service to the United States during the Vietnam War, and I also respect his courage for facing the terrible mistake he made during that war. I am rating him as a politician, and he really is impressive to me. He served as Governor from 1983 to 1987, and when elected faced a heavy deficit and was forced to balance it out. He mae tough budget cuts and kept the deficit under control, and even managed to balance the budget for the four years that he served as Governor and turned the deficit into a surplus in 1987. As Senator, he has been a hard advocate of welfare reform, education reform and protecting our environment. He is the only member of Congress today who has won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam.

I always liked Senator Kerrey a lot. However, being a disabled combat veteran from the Vietnam era, I can't condone murder under any circumstances. We never did it in our unit (27th Infantry) and we resent the implication it imparts to other veterans. The troops I knew wouldn't shoot if they didn't feel they had a righteous target.

A man of honor and integrity who served the State of Nebraska and the United States with distinction. Swordo3174, you're a jerk with an obvious case of cranio-rectal inversion.
swordo3174 06/15/2001
It would seem you say one thing and do another, just like you shouldn't. Bye Bob!
abichara 05/26/2001
I have plenty of respect for Senator Kerrey. He did not do anything wrong in Vietnam. Bob Kerrey is a hero and sometimes things happen in the line of fire that should not happen as was the case with Sen. Kerrey. He was an honorable and decent Senator.
