This rifle was excellent. The word Bren comes from Brno in Czechoslovakia and Enfeld in England. Both arsenals developed the Bren. The top feed looks cumbersome but actually enhanced its reliability since gravity help prevent jams and other problems inherent the spring magazines that feed from the bottom. The soldiers loved the Bren.

Reliable and powerful weapon used into the 90's. Only letdown was it's small magazine capacity.
