Windtalkers 2

It's not as painful to watch, as say The Wicker Man.

Windtalkers 4

Because of the unique subject matter, I reduce this to a four since five on this scale is the worst. This is just all-around bad fare and I like war movies. The technical advisor should have been drowned or dealt some other horrible fate.

Does Nicholas Cage do bad movies? The answer is yes.

Windtalkers 5

The story of the Navajo in WW2 is such a great story. This movie could have been very good, but it was very, very, very, very bad. Hand grenades exploding like artillery shells, 3 BAR rounds killing 4 Japanese soldiers, and terrible battle sequences. The movie was just so bad and failed to capture the quality of the Japanese infantryman.

Windtalkers 4

With 5 being the worst, I have to go with 4. The acting wasn't too awful and there were a few moments when I actually felt like I was getting into the movie (very few moments, though) but Nicholas Cage completely dominated the film. I didn't watch it to see his inner turmoil, I watched it to see the story of the Navajo Windtalkers. Well, I didn't get that. I got a bunch of bottle rockets in place of guns and a whole lot of scenes in which Cage is looking anguished. Ugh.
