Like his deliverance of straight facts and his infectious laughter. Too bad he got the hook though. Oh well, he can go back to being a greasy fast food manager.

Horrific play-by-play! While calling baseball games for ESPN a few years back, the home team that night was his all-time favorite from childhood. If the home team won via late inning heroics, he'd have to be strapped to a gurney to aid in his convulsions. Have fun L.A!

Charley calls the games like nobody else. He's the best

I miss Charley. He did well, had a dry sense of humor. Much better than the tripe we have today.

Steiner did a good job and was a clown without being annoying.

The worst person on the planet to do any kind of play-by-play, esp. baseball. His hiring lost me over 500 Yankee radio games. Thank God he is gone. Hideous, self-important, rude, ungracious. Only cares about hearing himself.

I never heard of him before. I just saw him on a CNBC interview about steroids in baseball and he was very articulate. He will be a good addition to the Dodgers broadcast team.

This guy was great, and I miss him as a regualr on Sportscenter.
