Happy Gilmore is great. It's one of Sandler's funniest movies. But to claim that should be considered a sports movie is a bit of a stretch. Yes, he plays golf, but I have a hard time classifying any Sandler movie (other than maybe his remake of The Longest Yard), as a sports movie.

Shooter was rude to me in public one time. He got all pissy because he is typecast and we yelled out Shooter! Still a kick ass flick. The Bob Barker fight is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Worth the price of admission just to see the Bob Barker sequence where he punches out Adam Sandler at a celebrity golf tournament. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously, as it purposely plays up how lame and formulaic sports triumph movies can be. Happy Gilmore is the kind of movie you are embarrassed to have liked, but the adolescent humor and irreverence somehow work for those in the mood for those things.

Very funny movie that works on several levels. It was a vehicle for Adam Sandler and is one of his better movies. The movie also helps take some of the stuffiness out of Golf by portraying it as a Sport the commmon man could appreciate. Nice touch adding a celebrity like Bob Barker, a guy who really bridges the cultural/social gap between the upper crust who have been known to play Golf, and the regular people ( like the ones who participate on The Price is Right). Sandler's Golf coach is Carl Weathers, a black man, which was interesting as well. You also have the message of taking care of your elders, working hard ot get what you want and you see that this was more than just a crude movie.

I love this movie. Having Bob Barker in it was hilarious. I wish they would make a sequel but with Adam Sandler in it. Not some stupid comedian who we never heard of like so many sequels have tried to do.

Crap. . .although attacking Bob was funny.

Probably Sandler's best movie. This isn't saying much, however. Generally stupid with a few funny moments.

Not really a sports movie, but a comedy. A few moments but like most Sandler films it wasn't that good!

One of my favorite Adam Sandler films. ...you can trouble me for a warm glass of shut the hell up. Youre in my world now grandma.

Ahhhh...I remember a day where Adam Sandler was hilarious even though his movie plots were almost the same (overachiever, love interests, etc.). This movie will always make everyone laugh no matter how many times they see it. Sandler needs to go back and remember how to do that again.

How can a movie about golf be great? Although Adam Sandler I do find funny, he's not a favorite of mine, he practically acts the same in his movies except Punch Drunk Love. The only funny scenes are the ones with Bob Barker. Otherwise it's a dumb movie and a waste of time.

Kind of cheesy in parts, but probably the second funniest golf movie ever next to Caddyshack.

Gotta love that fight scene with Bob Barker.
