Well... how do I reply to this? We were called out to the customers’ home on a Sunday for a plumbing issue and they needed help. We arrived in a timely manner. We diagnosed the problem and presented them with the solution and price up front. In fact, the customer initialed once by the choice given to them on our findings sheet and signed again on the invoice with the cost of the work clearly stated beside the signature line. After the repair was made the customer signed again accepting the work performed. The customer was also given the choice to save 15% the day of the service and future services, if they signed up to become a Service Partner. That option was declined by the customer. It sounds like the customer had buyer’s remorse after the problem was solved. A simple no thank you would have been ok and we would have gathered our things and thanked them for the opportunity. Instead, they had us complete the work, pay us and then give us a bad rating. I would have liked the opportunity to work this out with the customer, but we were not given the chance. We are small family owned business committed to serving our customers with quick response times and Quality service at an affordable price.

 | lt098y (0) 09/29/2008 | I will never use this company again! I had a water stop valve replaced and I was charged $382!!! Keep looking they aren't worth it! I was under the impression that the service cost as much as I was charged, however, I was sadly mistaken. After complaining through the website, I was told I had to pay for the profit and operating expenses of the company! I later realized I could have gotten a better deal elsewhere. I later called 4 other 24/7 plumbing companies and I could have paid at the MOST $200 less than I was charged. Please keep looking, don't settle for Atech. They make sure you pay for each and every expense they incur. You can get the exact same service for fair market value. Don't call this company!!! Call at your own risk, make sure you receive quotes from other companies as well!
Exact words from the owner:
I'm responding to your email expressing dismay about our prices. Yes, we do charge more than many other companies in the area...I make no apologies for our pricing. We now build the price for each job type by applying the material, average labor, overhead and profit to each of these jobs.
Out of every dollar we charge, we must pay for:
Our technician's salary, we only hire the best so we can provide you with the best service.
His worker's compensation,
His social security, his medical benefits,
His uniform,
Ongoing training,
Tools
The truck and proper maintenance
The finance charges on the inventory he carries,
The gas in the truck,
The insurance for the truck,
Our business insurance,
Our state licenses,
Our telephone line charges and telephone system,
Our Service Manager to answer the phones and dispatch the technicians (keeping track of the progress of every job to keep you informed when you can expect the technician) and their overhead,
Our computers and our software,
Office workers to enter information into the computers and their overhead,
Accounting,
Billing,
Tax and legal services,
An after hours answering service,
Yellow pages advertising and other advertising media you may have used to contact us,
Membership in professional and trade organizations,
Reserves to ensure we can honor all of our warranties and guarantees,
People to fill out dozens of forms and reports for various government regulators, taxes,
And on and on it goes.
I couldn't make this up if I wanted to. You have been warned!
