I am a bit rusty, since I truly haven't written since before I had children.Where else is there a place for a typical person able to write about any given subject?

10/18/2004 | This is probably the top reason why I visit RIA. I see it as a hobby, almost like a personal blog. I write a lot about politics primarily because it represents much more than governments and what they do. Its about people and their motives; it's the stage where humanity performs. Sometimes I write about current events, sometimes just about life itself with all of its little nuances. There's enough to rate to keep me going for a while! With Weblists even more so--RIA became more timely with the addition of that feature.

10/18/2004 | What I enjoy a lot about RIA, over other opinion sites is that RIA has members that usually right in understandable formats and don't insist on saving themseleves two seconds by abbreviating everything.

02/21/2004 | Overall, I enjoy writing and rating all kinds of different topics. Its great that this website exists where you can rate virutually anything I want, and even leave a comment with it. There are some problems associated with it, but overall I think its fun. I enjoy reading what other people think about things, and forming my own opinions.

12/11/2003 | I think I just like writing my opinion, but Sean Hannity would say that it means I've been got by the devil. I suppose got is used in the same way you get got by your cellmate in prison. But if that me-being-the-devil-incarnate thing were true it would explain my otherwise mysterious lust for the blood of young virgins lately. But, without further symptoms of Unwanted Demon Fever I'll stick to the I like writing opinions thing.

11/28/2003 | If writing about different topics is not the primary reason most people are posting on RateItAll, I cannot imagine what would be. I discovered the site when searching for a ranking of military leaders (ie generals), yet quickly discovered that the site was not limited to that topic. While I am involved with several political and intellectual online discussion forums, RateItAll provides a format for a single comment without the constant need for an explanation or defense. The bottom line is that RateItAll allows me to put on the proverbial hat of a professional reviewer on so many things in and out of my professional forte.

I think it's really neat that there is a site like this out there. It's basicly crap free. And has a wide ...VERY wide variety of topics. I love it. L8er dayz.

10/19/2003 | I share Solenoid DH's appreciation for RIA. To me, it serves as a journal. Any time I feel like it, I can come to this website and write about virtually anything. Furthermore, if I cannot find what I want on RIA, I can create it myself thanks to My RIA. I espescially enjoy sharing my views on political subjects, not just because it gives me a chance to climb on my soapbox, but it will be interesting going through my comments a year from now and seeing how my beliefs have evolved over that period of time. Like SDH, I too plan on printing out all of my postings someday.

10/15/2003 | It's a given that most (but not all) of the people who've registered for RIA like to write about different topics. There are over a million comments featured here. My comments are but a puny handful of them, but I do enjoy contributing to RIA. Plus, there are thousands upon thousands of topics to choose from, and there are always more being added. I won't be going anywhere anytime too soon!

10/14/2003 | A friend of mine showed me this website last summer, and I thought it was a pretty cool and organized forum. There is lots of things to talk about. Anything that's on your mind, you can just say. Anything that you want to read about, you can just search for it, and find some funny comments left about it.

10/09/2003 | Originally, I got on here because my brother kept trying to get me to take part. I thought it sounded like a dull idea. But once I started, it was fun sharing my thoughts with people, and in the process, storing up a lot of my personal philosophies on a handy site like this. One day I may just print them out and put them in a notebook. These days however, I'm not that interested in writing about topics anymore. I've made a few friends on RateItAll, and I like mostly to communicate with them back & forth. Most of them don't agree with me on a number of issues, but that only leads to some healthy exchange of ideas. And we all find out that the person who disagrees with us isn't some kind of monster, but just a decent person who thinks differently.

10/07/2003 | Absolutely. It's fun! And because it is well structured--there's always a perfect spot to write what you want, or else you can make your own spot--and because you can leave bite-sized writings any time you want, it is a perfect forum for drive-by opinionating.

I mostly like to write about technical subjects such as networking.I find this site to be lacking in some technical mateial though! I hope that that gets better, that more tech literate people come here so we can get a fresher crowd!! also i'd like to have more scientists as well! I love science!!!! ;-)
