DuraBrand (DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW) 1

Durabrand DVD players are sold at Wal-Mart. The one that I'm talking about is the one with a pop up lid and it costs about $29.00 or $30.00. Some of these cheap DVD players have been catching on fire. Please don't buy one of these DVD players. If you already own one, please get rid of it. Please don't sell it to someone. Throw it in the trash. These DVD players can be dangerous.

Durabrand dvd-r disk are wasting my money! I have a large home movie collection, and I'm trying to transfer them onto dvd format. My wife and I went to Walmart and brought a Emerson dvd-r recorder. Durabrand dvd-r disk were our first choice because they where the cheapest in the store. We had to take one back because it would not record. The machine read an error. I had a big problem returning the one disk without all the rest. I was not happy with the big ta-do about how they were going to sell 9 dvd- disk without the one that I was getting as compensation for a defect. They made me feel like I was doing something wrong by coming to get something that I paid for. I called the Emerson help line to find that Durabrand, and only three more brands of dvd-r disk even record on my machine. So I gave Durabrand another chance. We made dvd's for family members for the holidays, and I spent five hours putting old home movies that my wife had borrowed from her mother. some of these tapes had old movies on them that were over thirty years old. I finalized the dvd burn, and what do you know? The dvd would not read in any of our seven dvd players! And to top that all off, the last dvd-r disk had some kind of weird scratches or glue on it. So not only was Durabrand a waste of money, but time as well. They owe me big!

I have used many of the 4X +R's and have had no problems at 2.4X or 4X with either Nero or DVD Decrypter. This is a good product.

These 4x DVD-R's will not play in any DVD player. I recorded them with Nero at 4x on a Pioner A06 drive. I am going back to Princo or Ritek.
