 | irishgit (138) 04/19/2007 | Marvellous cuisine, with touches and influences from half a dozen or more cultures that create a unique and unforgettable blend.
My town lost its only good Cajun place last year. I think it might be time for a trip to the Delta.

 | Djahuti (54) 06/06/2006 | Mmmm...one of the high points of my visits to New Orleans was the wonderfully spicy dishes served there.I had wanted to taste that since seeing Chef Prudhomme on TV years and years ago-it was worth the wait! Love eatin Gator!

 | DumbBlondeCowgirl (23) 03/19/2006 | I really like Cajun and Creole food, but I have to be careful about which ones I eat. I'm allergic to a lot of fish.

 | IrishTurtle (5) 03/19/2006 | This type of food is excellent and none can compare to the unique tastes of Gumbo soup, Jambalaya, the super salads, and great deserts of Cajun and Creole.

 | Randyman (103) 03/28/2005 | I love this stuff. Gumbo, shrimp creole, jambalaya, dirty rice, red beans and rice, yummmm! What's not to like. Infact if you don't like this food there is something wrong with you.

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 11/14/2002 | I had the pleasure of going to New Orleans for two weeks back in 1993, and I can honestly say I never had a meal that was less than outstanding. That being said, I would never want to be told what was in some of that food. My favorite dish had to be the Barbequed Shrimp. It was out of this world good.

 | addicted (0) 10/28/2002 | This is the 5-est of the 5's I'm giving to different types of cuisine! I love spicy and this is just my kind o' spicy. I guess my most favorite is crawfish etouffee. it's super peppery hot with that perfect fish taste and darn good rice. i eat it up. it's filling, too. i also like shrimp diane, coonass chicken, and any of the po' boy sandwiches.

 | Ruby (15) 01/12/2002 | Gotta love the hot cajun spices. A nice bowl of jambalaya hits the spot virtually anytime (but is best in the cold weather). Last week, I bought some great big shrimp and made this shrimp creole recipe that's just amazing. Lasted me all week. You have to also appreciate the shortcut meals you can make in this genre -- Zantrini has great jambalaya that's as easy to make as RiceARoni but much tastier. Just stir in some spicy smoked sausage or shrimpies, and you'll be mighty happy.
