Only negative about Milwaukee are the winters, but thanks to global warming, even that is improving.

A city rich in history and culture, Milwaukee is too often overlooked. It's a beautiful city with a view of Lake Michigan. There are wonderful summer festivals, theater and ballet events, parades and sporting events. Sure, there's a substantial crime rate in some areas of Milwaukee, but that is true about every city on this list. The people are friendly in Milwaukee and there's always something to do. It's one of my favorite places to be!

Underrated. Milwaukee has been improving over the years - they tore down the old, intrusive interstate downtown, and condominiums are going up. A new art museum opened recently. A beautiful riverwalk now follows the river near downtown. Biek trails run throughout the city. And there are some great cultural fests. It pales in comparison to nearby Chicago, sure, but Milwaukee is a pleasant enough city.
