 | middlefinger (4) 12/05/2004 | OK...but the women he groped waited 10 years to complain. I would think that the statute of limitations expired 9.5 years ago. If they didn't complain THEN, I really don't buy all of the whining and crying NOW! It amazes me that the groped feel so traumatized 10 years later...especially when the groper makes a run for public office.

 | scarletfeather (47) 03/08/2004 | You can't really fault Arnold on this. Many men enjoy groping women.

 | abichara (60) 03/07/2004 | Why didn't these women come out sooner with the allegations? The whole thing simply wreaked of political opportunism. Should we disqualify all politicians who have groped women in the past? Forget about it, you'll be able to hear the crickets in the Capitol Dome!

 | Dawnsdinos (6) 03/07/2004 | I agree that I tend to doubt the seriousness of the claims when women come forward when a candidate is running for office. These things happened so long ago, and unless you were right there you don't know exactly what happened, I'm not so sure at the time that it wasn't exactly what the woman wanted. The timing just bothers me. I have my doubts about Paula Jones accusations because of when they came out too, even though I don't like Clinton at all. Another one that I didn't believe was Anita Hill (I could be wrong about the name) She came out against Clarence Thomas when he was going for the supreme court. The other thing is that this happened a long time ago.

 | teacher1965 (0) 03/07/2004 | Keyword allegedly. I find it hard to believe women who come out and make accusations when someone is running for office, they make the credible claims seem phony.

 | forgotten hero (13) 11/07/2003 | The same thing happened to Clinton after he became president. Pathetic, attention craving women come out of the woods with stories of sex in a sad attempt to have their moment in the sun.

 | jamestkirk (23) 10/20/2003 | This allegation clearly points out the double-standard that exists in our society. The Democratic Party and NOW protested Arnold over these last-minute allegations brought forth by the LA Times, yet they were ironically mute when the same allegations were brought forth against a former president. It's not about integrity anymore, regrettably, in our society. It's about political power.

 | pabob (2) 10/17/2003 | We had a president who allegedly groped women before he entered office and allegedly groped women while in office. Seems some in California are more critical towards a man who wasn't even elected yet than they were towards a twice-elected president. That's called a double-standard.

 | kamylienne (77) 10/09/2003 | Pretty much all guys enjoy groping women (if they were given a chance to); though I'd think it would be in poor character if he were STILL doing it, but this all happened a LONG time ago. Would you want your chances of something to be shot down because of something you did twenty years ago that you regret? This isn't my major concern regarding the Schwarzennegar governership issue.

 | kolby1973 (32) 10/09/2003 | I on one hand do not agree with groping anyone unless it is invited by that person, be it woman or man. On the other hand, I have a hard time believing that these so called incidents were so horrific that it took so many years for these women to come out and whine about it when they could have sued and destroyed Arnold's acting career years ago. I do not know if it is true or not. But I will say that I am proud of Arnold for winning, and I hope he does a really good job running California, as every American deserves to have a good governor running their state. I will also stand by what I said before, I don't know for sure that Arnold is a nice guy, but he sure seems like it after all these years watching him in interviews, and what not. I have never heard nothing bad about him in the past until this election. Go Arnold and good luck !

 | zuchinibut (36) 10/09/2003 | This shows the hypocrisy of politics. Republicans will jump on Clinton for his moral slips, and Democrats complain that he shouldn't be judged about that. And then Democrats in this situation will use the same argument against Clinton that they disagreed with against Schwarzenegger.

 | magellan (153) 10/08/2003 | Not a huge deal to me if he proves to act ethically as Governor, and be a GOOD governor. As I did not hold Clinton to the fire for his transgressions, I would be a hypocrite to put a lot of weight on Arnold's alleged transgressions. Plus, who DOESN'T enjoy groping women? (though most of us have the good taste to wait for an invitation). **Note to BigBaby** What aren't you buying? Arnold admitted it.

 | BIGBABY (10) 10/08/2003 | I'm sorry but I'm just not buying any of this. Most of the allegations came directly after Friday's poll which showed that 60% would vote for Arnold. That is just too suspicious too me. After all, all of the other attempts to knock Arnold out of the race failed. No intelligent person believed Davis would actually win. The liberals tried a destroy campaign, a campaign where the only goal is too take cheap shots at the enemy. And it didn't work, just like last year's elections, and the 2000 election, becuase the people are sick of it. At least when Republicans criticize those who they disagree with, they do it with respect. That's what I will never understand about liberals. Just what is thier problem anyway? And why are they so nasty? Look at liberals today, they can never have a good deabte anymore. They always end up making fun of conservatives. As long as liberals keep debating this way, the more thier support will slip and the more Republicans will be voted in. As for the Clinton situation, I think that was a lot different. Clinton committed fraud and lied to the country. He actually had sex with other women. Arnold, on the other hand, apologized for acts committed 20 years ago. As for all of the new accusations, however, I'm just not going to believe it. I think its another cheap trick from liberals that backfired right in thier face.
