If you are already an auction buff, collector or antique/collectables dealer you will find a gold mine on eBay. If not, don't get ruffled by the computer business world.

I have done this a few times but I could easily live without it. There are too many problems associated with selling products online.

Selling services online has become the backbone of some people on the internet. I however strongly believe that you need a stronger real life presentation of your material and goods to really be successful. It's just my $0.02 but it takes a LOT of work and reading to really do well just selling things online.

I have wanted to get into this a bit but have never taken the time to do it seriously. I have purchased a few things with good results. I still think the selling side would be kind of fun though. I did put a book on Ebay once, but it didn’t sell. I think it would certainly beat setting up a garage sale and sitting around for a couple of days only to practically give everything away.
