 | SZinHonshu (44) 01/17/2006 | Is this surprising to anyone? I give her points for at least being true to her values. She clearly advocates a large interventionist government that provides a western-European type social safety net. And she ain't tryin' to finance it with private contributions.
Pull out your wallets when the Democrats come knocking, folks. They have an endless list of helpful and creative social engineering ideas that only require your tax money.
"It takes a village," and in this case, it requires that village's financing.

Right now, I think that the government has to act in a much more fiscally responsible manner, and if it means raising taxes (or not raising taxes, but cutting back on spending, or a combination of both), then so be it. I can't really fault Hillary on that score.
