Ignatius looks like he was wrong about the Pope passing away in 2004. 2005 could be the year. His hospitilization recently appeared serious, and although he has been released, he has been fighting for so long, that one has to wonder when the old guy will give up.

I saw a clip recently where someone had to step up and wipe the drool off his chin during a public appearance. You would think - out of simple respect for his position - that they wouldn't show such things. I'm guessing that things like that happen fairly often. I also heard that he will soon be starting kidney dialysis. I doubt he will see the new year.
