Cancelled service in my area. then shut down there customer service. Then took 2 months to release the line back to the phone company. for satellites there great for dsl look some where else

wish i could give them a zero for stopping service and giving me a short window for finding another isp. i love directv, but their dsl experiment was an unmitigated disaster.

Even before they died, they had salespeople who would actually actively *lie* to people to make the sale... and then, conveniently, the terms of service say that the company isn't liable for anything the sales people say.

It was a great service, I had great technical support when I had a problem with the service However, they quit and screwed everybody over.

I gave DirecTVDSL 3 stars because that is all they deserve. Technical Support, Customer Service and the service itself was OK. Its mail servers for its domain @directvinternet.com was down consistently and I was never able to use my 5 email addresses at their domain because of the unreliability. DirecTVDSL has/is about to go bellyup because as of December 17, 2002, they gave their subscribers a 30 day notice to find another provider. Another DSL provider bites the dust to the clusterf*ck that is broadband in the U.S.

Yeah, I give this dsl company 1 star because they figured out they wouldn't make any money being a dsl provider. Yup, Directv dsl has quit and this company should be at the very bottom of the rating list
