I've never been on Qantas but their safety record is obviously top-notch if it's the only airline Rain Man will fly on (82 toothpicks, 82!).

Jets need more leg room. Staff are a little too casual.

After flying with Qantas 5 times in 7 weeks I would never ever fly with them again.Every plane I caught was at least 30 mins late, the food tastes like rubber, the staff are average at best and with all the safety hassles they are currently having it is only a matter of time before they have a serious accident(this is what happens when they take their maintenance offshore).Next time I go o/s its back to Singapore or Lufthansa who both leave Qantas for dead!

Qantas is getting progessively worse. The staff are becoming ruder, the airline is far less accommodating than they used to be,the seats are smaller and closer together, the cabin service has been cut back, and the meals have decreased in size till they are nearly non existant.

Fantastic airline, the food portions can be a little small though. Nevertheless, the difference in attitude from when I flew on Qantas to when I flew on American Airlines spoke volumes. The friendly, peaceful flight, albeit 14 hours, was great until I transferred onto American Airlines, where the flight attendant kept bothering me for dumb reasons, she was rude while I was trying to rest because I couldn't on the Qantas and of course, after 1 month in Australia, getting used to the aholes, passengers and crew in America was a reculture shock. I think I should've stayed in Oz.

Qantas is very safe, and the service is always very good and friendly. My only complaint is that recently they have been giving very light snacks in lieu of meals on domestic flights. I hope they bring bring back the beef and chicken for domestic flights soon.

Qantas has the nicest people. Of course, Aussies in general are nice, but this airline has tons of room, great food, and great in flight entertainment...by far, my favorite airline. It makes me wish they flew US domestic flights.
