this movie was funny and with each sequel they went downhill. at least see the 1st one

Released in 1984 and directed by Jeff Kanew, Revenge Of The Nerds is a typical 1980's teen flick with nudity and expected gags. The film follows the struggles of the nerds of Adams College (Robert Carradine, Anthony Edwards, Curtis Armstrong et al) who start their own fraternity as Lambda Lambda Lambda. Along with the like-minded sorority Omega Mu, they challenge their nemeses the Alpha Betas, led by Stan (Ted McGinley). What salvages this movie from what would otherwise be a typical ten sex film of that decade, is the spoof spin on Animal House and that the underdogs are the Bill Gates of the world, a sign of who the new players will be in the future. The bottom line is that Revenge Of The Nerds is an above average movie within its genre and a guilty pleasure, but not a must see by any stretch of the imagination.
