 | VirileVagabond (36) 11/08/2006 | I suppose that every now and then some European company decides to go with a homegrown ad campaign for American consumers, and this appears to be the case with Mentos. I'm also guessing that this strategy rarely works well, but for some reason these spots worked in the States, most likely due to the younger demographic at which the ads were aimed. These spots didn't make me run out and buy Mentos, but they did have some entertainment value and certainly became part of pop culture.

 | bobble-head (29) 10/18/2005 | These commercials are funny. I read in the newspaper a while back that it doesn't matter what comes, fresh goes better in life, with Mentos fresh and full of life. I think it also said that nothing gets to you, staying fresh staying cool, with Mentos fresh and full of life. The article went on to state that fresh goes better, Mentos freshness, fresh goes better with Mentos fresh and full of life. Mentos, the freshmaker!

 | Maddog777 (0) 03/16/2005 | Cheesy Euopeanesque commercial! No wonder Europe is out of touch! My transmission went on the fritz! GEE! If I pop a Mentos in my mouth I could rebuild it no time. I could solve world hunger, promote world peace, kiss the Dalai Lama, attain self-actualization. All from a circular piece of candy that tastes like a toilet mint!

 | Iron Man (1) 10/20/2004 | These are some of the most lame ads ever created. Talk about sucky!

 | excelsior30 (8) 05/06/2004 | You have to look deeply into the commercials. As you know, the people who are in a problem are chewing this mint. It can go to show you that research helps in this case. On us. mentos.com I saw that (done at an accredited university,) chewing can stimulate your thinking and memory. Something useful, eh? I do love the jingle and I remember it by heart. How lovely it is- thanks Perfetti van Melle for making these commercials! (Of course, tboneya, they are from Europe! But put it this way, who owns the ice creams Good Humor and Klondike and Lipton Tea- Unilever of Holland. How can we live well without the European's great products?)

 | feikert03 (0) 03/17/2004 | I don't like it and the jingle is annoying. But I do have to give credit to the people there because they sometimes make me laugh, but all around... it sucks.

 | kolby1973 (32) 02/24/2004 | This advertising campaign has always been one of my favorites. It is great all the way down to the jingle. It is very original and it NEVER got old...SUPERB...

 | kamylienne (78) 02/24/2004 | The commercials for these were pretty interesting (at times); the message was that you could get away with damn near anything if you had some Mentos. Wonder if OJ Simpson had some in the courtroom with him . . . .

 | zuchinibut (40) 11/12/2003 | The commercials were bizarre and oddly funny. They always seemed to be a topic of conversation when a new one came out, and who didn't know the slogan for Mentos was, the freshmaker.
