04/27/2005 | Safety equipment is a factor and it isn't. I say this because today virtually all vehicles have loads of safety equipment standard (air bags, anti-lock brakes in many cases, side impact airbags, side rails, etc)., so pretty much I feel that anything I buy today is a lot safer than cars I drove as a teenager (eons ago!).
