Spice Girls 1

I cannot, in good conscience, take this group seriously as a musical effort. The songs are basically the same three chord progressions played over and over again with a cheap catchy melody put to them. None of the girls have any sort of range, maybe an octave, if that. The instrumentals are laughable. Now, if we are talking about a huge marketing scheme targeted at 'tween girls launched purely to make money and having no goal to bring any sort of value to the market, well then, we have something that can be taken seriously.
