 | GoinDownSlow (31) 04/08/2007 | SKYDOG LIVES! "At Filmore East" Best live album, bar none. Liked them much better when they played the blues, jazz, and other assorted southern style tunes...pre Duane's death in otherwords.

 | Robbo59 (13) 11/15/2005 | By far the best band live in the history of Rock music and easily the best American group. Mostly brilliantly played blues with splashes of rock, soul, jazz, fusion and bluegrass. This is the band that the Grateful Dead wishes they could be. Every guitarist that ever associated himself with this outfit was a certified genius and Duane Allman, Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes are each the equal or better of anyone that has ever picked up a guitar. Still the best live band and coming to a theater near you. Don't miss the opportunity to see these boys in action. You won't regret it.

 | Moosekarloff (21) 05/28/2004 | One of the greatest bands of its era. An intelligent and well-played blend of blues, rock, country, folk and even jazz influences that really kicked butt. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed is a classic. Duane Allman and D. Betts were two very accomplished guitar players, and the rhythm section was notably tight. Weak link was Greg Allman, but even his relative lameness couldn't bring down the overall effect very much. Turned out three very fine albums in a short period of time, but the band wasn't nearly as good once key players started biting the dust.
