I don't know how this movie got through the Cuban censors, but it presents an excellent story laced with harsh criticisms of the political culture in the country. Maybe it's because those in charge of censorship were illiterate. In any case, I highly recommend this film.

An educated and cultured young gay man falls in love with an ardent communist in Castro's Cuba. Serves as an interesting study of the life of the average young Cuban in a world where books, movies, and art are banned and one has to take extraordinary steps to learn the truth of things.
