Having lived through the 70's and having had no choice but to wear those God-awful clothes, I can't for the life of me figure out what makes them so appealing. Bell bottoms, corduroy pants, white 2 inch wide belts, platform shoes, wide collars and hair styles apparently designed by blind people cause me to this day to still have nightmares. Of course, the 80's were not exactly any kind of improvement.

this is a money maker for me. retro is in and there is still so much out there. there antique stores that specialize in retro popping up all over. they can be so fun and entertaining to stroll through.

There's nothing really wrong with affecting the styles of another time I suppose. However, it's usually more than a little off kilter the second time around and about as accurate as something like say, That '70's Show.
