Goth Rock 3

The music isn't so bad. Some of it's totally awful and whiny, and some of it's pretty good. I like the Cure and the Southern Death Cult. It's the goth people I can't stand. Those elitist posers with their disenchantment and obsession with looking like corpses or vampires. True nihilism does not entail a strict adherence to a particular fashion, and Goth is based 100% on aesthetics - don't let any moribund goth tell you any different. It's not about life, or death, or beauty, or poetry, or nihilism. It's about looking cool, and it's pretty immature if you ask me.
