Another good one by Bevan:Regarding Churchill "I look forward to pricking this bloated bladder of lies with the pointed poniard of truth"

The best thing about this comment is how contemptuous he is about Churchill, addressing him only obliquely. Very few men had a hatred of the Tories quite as strong as Bevan, and there was perhaps no-one more eloquent in expressing it.

Nye Bevan's wit was a match for Churchill's and their exchanges in the House of Commons are the stuff of legend.
