The best thing about this comment is how contemptuous he is about Churchill, addressing him only obliquely. Very few men had a hatred of the Tories quite as strong as Bevan, and there was perhaps no-one more eloquent in expressing it.

Nye Bevan's wit was a match for Churchill's and their exchanges in the House of Commons are the stuff of legend.
