POGS!!! What happened? They were supposed to be such a big deal and this fad dissappeared after only a few months or so, and a lot of retailers got stuck with POG stuff and they couldn't even give it away. It will always be quite a mystery as to why POGS were supposed to be such a big deal n the first place, and why they suddenly vanished.

kidslam said it all . there is a heartwarming story how pogs came about in hawaii. my mother and my aunt and her family had moved to hawaii just as pogs were hitting the popularity peak there. my kids were probably some of the 1st here on the mainland that had pogs and probably are now some of the last that still have them in a box in their closets.

Pogs started in Hawaii and went around the world. Spread the Aloha. We want pogs back!

I am embarrassed on behalf of my generation for creating a fad out of these. They were little pieces of cardboard! I will say, though, that the generation who popularized pet rocks should be just a tad more humiliated.

It really was a pointless game, but it was so fun! I remember playing this with my friends, sitting outside on my basketball court for hours on end, hitting little circles of carboard with a metal disc. It's kinda sad that it was replaced by electronic games and TV.

I miss Pogs, they were fun to collect, and the game was fun to play.
