How could you not love Ska? It's the Honey Nut Cheerios of pop music. It's sweet, round and even contains trace amounts of something that's good for you. I agree that as a forty year old musical style that has been popular at three or four different times, it should have graduated from the status of fad/trend.

I love ska music because it combines a lot of different instruments...especially the trumpet.

Ska has been around for a long time, even longer than reggae, so it's not as if it's a passing fad. Ska, however, totally sucks and I hate it. It's one of the most obnoxious and irritating forms of music, and I feel like puking whenever I see a skinny white guy with a skinny tie and a mohawk, wearing a shirt and jacket and dress shorts, holding a trombone or something. The musicianship is usually impressively professional, but it is wasted on this garbage.
