Great sport except its popularity has not yet grown to all parts of the country. Traditionally popular in the Northeast, especially Maryland and New York, the sport has taken off in high schools in Colorado and Ohio. Despite its roots as this country's oldest team sport, lacrosse is still growing nationally, and has a bright future ahead of it.
