Twenty or more years ago, I wouldn't have been able to relate to this sentiment. But the older I get, the more I realize that even one's zest for life seems to have an expiration date. (Though, I don't think I've quite gotten there and believe it depends on the individual and a pretty varied bunch of personal circumstances.)

It's so fitting coming from a great pioneer like Churchhill. It was like he had finished his adventures here and done everything there is to do and he was ready for the next one. It's kind of like the attitude we should all have towards death, it's just the next adventure.

After the heights Churchill climbed, the struggles he fought, and the enemies he defeated, it comes to no surprise that he would have found old age and retirement boredom. A true warrior in every sense.

Zoiks! After what he did, can you imagine anything more exciting. Too bad he wasn't around to sort out the Cold War.

Here's hoping he found something interesting in the afterlife.

After reading much about the life of Churchill he most likely was bored of it all. People like Churchill need to be in a position where they are in the middle of some kind of struggle, be it political or in the case of the second world war, inspirational. He once said The world does not end with the life of any man. The world did not end but it misses you, sir.
