I bought this DVD for my kids so that they could experience what campy fun superhero movies used to be like. They've gotten so sombre and heavy this generation and I think that kids are missing out on a lot of the fun. In the final analysis they found it cute but still think that the bleak, epic Christopher Nolan Batman and X-Men films are the bomb.

I read somewhere that this movie helped to stop the comic book from being cancelled. I don't know why. The villains dehydrated people in this movie and then rehydrated them. When a person was dehydrated, all that was left was a pile of dust. When water was added to the piles of dust, they turned back into people. This was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
When people dehydrate in real life, they don't turn into piles of dust. And they can't be revived. Around Christmas of 1989, I read a magazine article that said people should buy this 1966 movie instead of the one with Michael Keaton. Whoever wrote that didn't know what he/she was talking about.
