This party is absolutely SICK IN THE HEAD. This is radical communism that leads to oppression and slaughter, brainwashing, and violations of liberties. Stalinism is what it is. It is extremism that pushes for totalinarianism, Maoism, Dictatorship, Kim Jong Il. If you took your head out of your butt and looked at history- this type of political party dehumanizes people and everything we hold dear. It is really a cult. I know many people who have suffered terribly under communism like this. If you Revolutionary Communists decided to leave Berkeley to see the world for a day and put down your "Weekly Worker" and meet the people who have lived under this torture, I think you might change your opinions on politics. The people I know escaped Russia, Vietnam, and El Salvador to be free of Communist oppression. This is a cult - Do not believe everything you are told in college. For years this group had a "bookstore" right off of Telegraph Ave in Berkeley - perhaps it's still there. The RCP's a Maoist organization who utilizes the group "Refuse and Resist" as a front operation to recruit new, naive sympathizers to their organization. After all these years, Bob Avakian still has a dominant presence as imperial leader of the organization. However, despite his claims of leading the "vanguard" party, other equally cultic, extremist organizations like the International Socialist Organization (ISO) have in fact surpassed his own group in terms of membership, attention, etc. How do I know about all this? A close friend of mine's brother was (is?) a RCP member, who in fact, was so deeply brainwashed in party "loyalty" that he sacrificed his whole family inheritance - around $10,000 - to the organization, after his parents death. Pretty sad.

Bob Avakian has brought forth an analysis of where we're at politically in the US and the seriousness of the stakes like no-one else in this country. He's also the only one putting forth a serious plan for what to do about the intolerable direction the Bushies are taking this country. The head of the party--Bob Avakian--is a raging lunatic who is in exile in Paris doing absolutely nothing with his life but to ramble on endlessly about how his party is the vanguard of the socialist revolution. And you know what, he seeks a dictator of the proletariant, with HIM as the dictator. The party is also extremely racist and anti white. They advocate the detention of white people into camps, rich or poor, for the persection of minorities in the past. Yeah, let's repeat history! Ironically the man himself is white. Like I said, the party is nothing but a bunch of has beens who do nothing with their life but go online and rant about how socialism is great.
