this doesn't come immediately to mind the way my ability to pee standing up does, but yeah, cheap underwear is nice.

Cheaper, and more coverage.
Vudija 03/20/2006
Thongs can be expensive, but where are you people buying from? I don't spend nearly that kind of money regardless of the style. I'll admit its more expensive for women, and that I spend more money than I'd like...but, come on! There are cheaper prices than that!

It bugs me that underwear isn't cheap anymore. We end up paying for underwear that could equal the value of a nice shirt.
Gentle Jude 10/23/2005
That is so unfair on women but I'm glad I don't have to worry about that problem. Some women simply get men's clothing and I don't blame them. Well in a battle of the sexes argument, one could always argue that women having to pay more shows they are more important lol.

America knows that women will pay ridiculous money for things to boost their appeal so they ask for it. American knows we dont...so we make out well here again. Women actually need to be ready to take their clothes off I guess, but some how I dont think you'll get one to admit it. If my underwear are clean from the last wash, Ill put em on. Straight men dont care about brandnames. If you do, you better check for other signs that you might be a little limp wristed.

Well, teklady, you've got a point. I gotta say that practicalities are not normally the first thing on my mind when confronted by a woman in her underwear.
minkey 03/19/2004
True - but we all know who ends up buying women their thongs - so who makes out in the end?
ClassicTVFan47 12/07/2003
Since shopping for clothes is boring, I'll agree on this one, and they can even be cheaper!

This really gets me. Why am I paying several times more money for one article of clothing which is made from significantly less material? One thong from Victoria's Secret can be $16 on its own; and yeah, I can get cheaper ones, but they tend to suck. (Addition: Hmm . . . I think Andrew's on to something here . . . it's all a conspiracy! Men ultimately WANT women to boycott panties! THAT'S why they're so overpriced! . . . no, I'm not serious, I'm just kidding . . . )
AndrewScott 11/11/2003
I agree there is gender discrimination, but what can be done -- a panties boycott? Kidding aside, this price advantage doesn't happen to apply to me, since I'm not a tighty-whities kind of guy. I also won't wear the cheap multi-pack boxers, which can feel like diapers. Nor will you catch me in any kind of male thong since they remind me too much of schoolyard wedgies. The comfortable, non-tacky styles I choose often seem overpriced considering how mass-produced they are. But I'm not about to go commando in protest considering my past absentmindedness with zippers.

This does not usually apply to me, unless I am buying underwear for my straight friends, and in that case it is great ! :) But I usually like my Calvin's, and they are a helluva alot higher than 10 dollars for 3 pairs !
teklady 11/06/2003
The price difference is for style not substance. I for one am happy to be female and to have stylish flatering underwear. What woman in her right mind would want to wear Y-fronts???? You can keep your 3-for-$10 grungy undies. I will keep my wicked thongs and matching colour sexy slinky undies and we will both be happy that way. Never had a guy say Oh what a shame, I wish you had more practical underwear! when they get their first glimpse either....
