
Born on January 8, 1935 in a two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley became one of the most successful artists of the rock 'n roll era. After moving to Memphis, Tennessee in 1948, Elvis Presley combined his musical influences of pop, country, gospel and R&B and stared in 33 successful films to ultimately become the King of Rock & Roll. Elvis Presley died at his Memphis home, Graceland, on August 16, 1977.
