Rush Limbaugh is an excellent talk show host. Regardless of what you think of his content, he can inspire even some of his most effective critics to say he is funny and good at what he does.

A pompous windbag with opinions that spin in the winds of a world view that seems to be a fat mans wail against the real world. His posionous rants are the wimpers of a dying breed of thought made large. History informs us on the verdict of time on consertive views. You cannot keep answering tomorrows questions with yesterdays answers. And with spokesmen like this,we can only wonder at the mass delusions of a large segment of the population. I still catch some of his shows to see if he's matured any, and in fact, he's done quite the opposite. His show is nothing more than ridiculous sound bites taken out of context, coupled with his horrendous impressions of various politicians he doesn't agree with. Then he laughs at his own jokes and breaks into a coughing fit. The formula is the same, and I've listened off and on over the last 10 years.

Pioneers discover or establish new territories...Rush Limbaugh is NOT a radio pioneer... he is just a radio host who has had a successful career preaching to the conservative choir. Radio deregulation has had more to do with his success than anything... A few corporations own the majority of stations, and it's simply cheaper to air his syndicated program on hundreds of stations rather than pay for local or even regional programming...
