Enviros have more irritating qualities than a lack of sense of humor. . .and those who rail against enviros are, on average, far less funny. . .

Because laughing would cause the release of carbon dioxide into the air that might do something bad.

I think I've got a pretty good sense of humor, but then again, doesn't EVERYONE? Also, whoever says that they haven't met any environmentalists who haven't made up their minds about every issue hasn't met many environmentalists! ;-) P.S. I'm an environmentalist (ecologist by profession), and I'm a VERY happy person. :-D Love what I do. AND, I smile all the time!

The main reason is they are not happy people. So they formed the environmental groups so they could be with all the other unhappy people. I certainly haven't seen any smiling.

I guess it's hard to smile, knowing some of your dearest tree friends are being hacked to death somewhere.

Same as with the 'fundamentalist Christians'... humor requires an open mind, to consider events or situations that are outside the 'normal'. Fundamentalists (of any kind), by their very definition, have closed minds. I have never met an environmentalist who did not 'have their mind made up' about almost every environmental issue.

I am not an extreme radical or anything when it comes to the environment, however I am with abichara on this one....there is nothing funny about destroying the earth...it is a real shame...

Because global warming, the loss of the ozone layer, deforestation, and the lost habitat of the spotted owl are absolutely no laughing matter! We're all going straight to hell for bringing this on mother earth!
