AKA 'National Robber Barons That Outlived the 19th Century Day'- they can share the holiday with Mr. Burns from the Simpsons... I wouldn't be surprised if they have 5 year old kids working in mines with candles underneath their stores.

Everyone gains 40 lbs., grows a mullet or wear a CATERPILLAR cap, then shops for lawn ornaments, awful t-shirts and 'Ernest' DVD's?
LadyJesusFan77 7 02/05/2008
I don't see any reason why not. There's a holiday every other day.

Or National Get Things Cheap and Screw Around Your Employees Day.

Looking at the latest reports every day is Walmart day. Its a celebration with a parade all the way to the bank, which Walmart probably owns.

The bastards already own or are planning to take over everything else. Why give them a day of their own too?
Mooselover 02/11/2005
It would be a waiste to spend a whole day shopping.

It seems to me, that everyday is Wal-Mart day, with the money they rake in.

Love holidays, and why not create one just to give the good folks at Wal-Mart the day off? We could celebrate by shopping at Mom & Pop stores.

No, how about a national Don't Shop at Wal-Mart Day? Wal-Mart is nothing to celebrate, else we'd have to have a Coca-Cola day, a Nike day, a Gap day, etcetera.

There are too many people who apparently hate Wally World so bad they can spit. Although I am not one of these people, it would be stupid for the store to have its own day; it just wouldn't have a wide appeal.

Judging by their continually packed parking lots, I think every day must be Wal-Mart day. Makes you wonder just what is going on in there? Personally I don't care since I agree with Kolby...I hate shopping at Wal-Mart and avoid it at all costs.

I would definately be going to Target on Wal-Mart Day, as I will never shop at Wal-mart again ! And you know, I actually thought it would be hard to find all the stuff I used to get at Wal-Mart anywhere else for a low price. It simply isn't true. It takes a little more effort and driving around, but it can be done, and it doesn't seem so commercial either. Now don't get me totally wrong, there are alot good people that work for Wal-Mart, but it doesn't mean I am going to shop there because of it. They choose to work there, I choose not to shop there. :)

Yeah, the first Monday after national Trailer trash day.
tvtator 11/15/2003
If there was a Wal-Mart day, would that mean every line would be open with no waiting at all? You could find an associate that would and could help you? When you left the store they would not harass you? You could find a parking spot close to the door?

This is a great idea. I hope they celebrate by opening ALL the cash register lanes.

we need a natiomal holiday to honor the world's largest retailer, a major american icon, and all of wal-mart's employees, including muself.
