I'll bet you if the did give enryone the day off for National Book and Reading Day there would be a measureable increase in attendance at the local multi-plex.

It would be even better if we could promote the benefits of regular reading on a daily basis, but I suppose a national holiday would be a good start. I only fear that it would be another excuse to miss work and sit around watching Jerry Springer re-runs.

National Book and Reading Day 4

Come to think of it, everybody reads every day, whether it's a road sign, TV ads, or books. So reading affects everybody in one way or another.
