 | LadyJesusFan777 (39) 06/05/2008 | Probably because all ATMs automatically are manufactured that way.

 | bjarvis (0) 10/16/2007 | Because it's cheaper for the banks to only order one type of button that can work for both drive-up and walk-up ATMs. The blind need them for walk-ups, so they just use them in all the ATMs.

 | Sirrillian (0) 09/16/2007 | Because in the dark you can feel where the 5 is, or the middle button. It's like the little nubbins on your f and j keys on your keyboard.
Duh.

 | abichara (63) 01/23/2007 | I sure hope that there aren't too many blind people driving out there. As it is, there are already enough people who drive as if they were blind to every other person on the road!

 | Gentle Jude (25) 10/22/2005 | It's to show we are such a caring, technologically aware society! Or maybe they are planning for the future when care will be automatic!

 | texasyankee (22) 04/15/2005 | If you ever happen to see a person with a red-tipped cane and holding their hand outstretched as they walk down the street, they must be looking for braille in any form so they might just figure out where they are at.

 | sfalconer (22) 04/04/2005 | Another one of lifes deep mysteries oh well I guess its the simple things that keep the simple amused. The actual units are made for walk up and drive up, why would the companies the make ATM produce two different units when they only need one. I hope every one can rest easy now this has been solved.

 | doombug (2) 04/24/2004 | Actually, it's an inside joke by the banks, as they are aware of how blind we are to their practices. When translated, it reads: We hope to 'fee' you again!

 | StanUzbeck (16) 02/03/2004 | There might be a blind person in the back seat situated immediately behind the driver, with a window that rolls down.

 | jgls (14) 01/05/2004 | because it is easier for the blind to drive their cars through the drive through than to park and walk into the bank.

 | SEGISAURUS (1) 12/23/2003 | Maybe because blind people take taxis to the bank.

 | kamylienne (80) 11/13/2003 | Seeing how people were on my drive home, I believe that perhaps some people who drive ARE blind . . .

 | Creamy Goodness (4) 11/13/2003 | It's bad enough that they don't have any braille on money.

 | Solenoid DH (20) 11/13/2003 | Actually, this may make sense. There are people in this town who drive like they're blind.
