I have an 03 kodiak 450. I have used this four wheeler to elk hunt in my home sate of wyoming since I purchased it. The low range power available in this machine are amazing. All of my polaris riding buddies make fun of the smaller frame of the four wheeler. That was until I hauled a whole elk, myself, and a friend of mine out of Beaver creek canyon because his polaris ran out of gas. By the way the mpg rating is definately above average.

i have a 1999 yamaha kodiak 400 red it runs great its the best

I have an '06 400 kodiak with about 400 miles on it. Good atv. Starts quick and very good in the mud as long its not to gummy. The negatives are no low gear and no override button for reverse safety apparatus. I've also lost a couple of small parts such as hole covers on front bumper. But overall a good machine.
