I'll give them four stars instead of five because they haven't matured yet but shouldn't they develop a sense of what's right and what's utterly stupid?

Certainly a few do, but as a whole they get a bum rap.  I'd hate to be a teen today.  I certainly didn't enjoy my teen years of working while listing to near-deads tell me about enjoying 'the greatest years of my life' and telling me about how hard it was going to be 'when I had to actually go to work.'  All I saw were my friends busting their asses and now we are having more fun working, traveling, and being a free adult instead of being a kid.  Teens do go through irritating phases, but I'd rather take them on a case-by-case basis instead of putting them in a collective whole.

Another reason why I decided not to have kids. I used to drive myself crazy when I was a teenager.

I have to admit teenagers are a big pain in the wazoo. My son is 17 and thinks he knows it all, and my other son is 13 and I thought I still had a ways to go before I lost my baby boy but no, he's proven me wrong, he's a freakin teenager!!!

as i happen to be a teenager, with *you guessed it* teenage friends and teenage associates, i beg to differ. while some teenagers can be rude, profane, bullheaded, and altogether annoying, so is my stepfather. in short, a large portion of humanity sucks. find something good about it, and please just stop with the whining!!!!

Teenagers annoy me to some extent. I do substitute teaching at the iddle school and high school level, and have to say that although there are some really aggravating kids out there, there probably are more who are pretty decent and show plenty of promise. I'd say that about 20% tend to drive me nuts at times, 60% are sort of neutral vanilla, and 20% can really make my day totally worthwhile and give me hope for the future. I am really impressed with how perceptive, articulate, and sensible (and sensitive) some of these kids are.

Some teenagers can be very very annoying with no respect, no sense of direction, no sense of decency, etc. Others are actually good kids.

I own a couple of these and they can wear me out like no tomorrow. Fortunately, after I beat them senseless with a tire iron they calm down considerably.

Yes, I know that I'm a teenager, but the majority of peers annoy me to know end. First, that's not to say there aren't many good teenagers out there. Good teenagers who are nice, considerate and smart enough not to break the law. But, most teenagers are so desperately obssessed with being yawn-inducing normal and wanting to fit in, that they become bland clones of each other in the process! And, what's worse is what it takes to fit in these days. Drugs? Sex? Profanity? MTV? Yikes! I don't think so. This teenager who hasn't cursed in nine years, listens to primarily 60s/70s music, likes Star Trek and Pokemon and 50s/60s sitcoms, writes as a hobby and is very moral prefers to be unique!
