The old Comiskey Park was under the care of Bill Veeck when I went for the first time. It had super, locally based concessions and a party-like feel to the event. I had a seat behind third base that pointed at center field. It seemed older than any major league park I'd seen. I didn't consider that to be a bad thing.

When built, was a wonder in the world of baseball stadiums, proved the test of time, retired gracefully

I never cared for the place. Had it's moments but didn't have a lot of character. Sort of like the team that plays there.
