Fenway isn't great because it's old, it's been allowed to get old because it's great. The wonderful new retro ballparks are a tribute to Fenway Park and Wrigley Field, but the feeling that you get actually being where Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, and all of the greats have played cannot be replicated. The recent improvements to make Fenway financially viable have been done with reverence. I loved being there 47 years ago(when the Red Sox were awful) and it's even better now.
