    This is a great little pizza place for a quick and cheap slice. There was no way we (me and my dad) were going to eat at the hotel we were staying at (Milford Plaza, stay away!) so we wandered a couple of blocks down 8th Ave and found A Slice of New York. The staff are so friendly - they are originally from Egypt, and you can have a friendly chat whilst waiting for your food. OK, so the decor isn't great, and the place looks a little bit unfinshed, but its a nice place to sit back with your tasty $3 slice and $2 coke and watch the people go by. There's a HUGE tv on the wall if you want to watch ESPN and there is also a cute little cat there, who will occasionally poke its head round from the back for your enjoyment. We found ourselves coming back three times during my stay in New York City. There is a wide selection of toppings, and all the food is fantastic value for money.
