So far, I've only had my belly button done (other than my lobes as a small child) and that piercing is now gone.

I'm wanting to get double lobes, because my current ones are uneven. Long story, but the 2 women who did them couldn't tell a straight line if they had to walk on one. I'd consider a cartilage (ear) piercing in one ear, but I don't know yet on that one. And now I want my eyebrow done (as you can tell, I really like my body mods).

well for starters i have my bottom ears pierced, top of my ear pierced, my tragus and ive had my tounge pierced several times. im not wierd in the slightest its just i like the exitement of something new :) i wouldnt go to the extreme and have whopping great holes in my ears. bt piercings do appeal to me :)

piercings are great, however you can really over do it. liljennie didn't really need to bash the poor "goth" kids. a lot of other kids over do piercings as well. but eh, whatever they like ya know. if it makes them happy why should we care.

I personally don't see the appeal, but to each his own.

I have my belly, three rings in both ears with two low lobe and one high on the ear but I'm not a total fan of all these lip piercings and everything. I guess to each her own but I think this is my limit. And these goth chicks that deform their ears and with the plugs need to get their heads examined.

I don't like going into a fast food place all set to eat and finding a young employee with a pierced eyebrow, pierced nose, and especially a pierced tongue -- piercings all over the place. It almost makes me lose my appetite! Earlobe piercing is acceptable, but I prefer not to do it. I'm chicken and I don't want holes in my earlobes.

On woman, ear piercings and only ear piercings can qualify as tasteful, but on men, NO body piercings can qualify as tasteful.

I think piercings are a very personal form of self expression. If you like it, who cares if someone else doesn't. But, if you have lots of piercings, especially facial you have to know that people are going to look at you and many will also feel free to opine on them. I have a friend who has multiple facial piercings, wears locks in her ears and has many tatoos. She gets angry and feels insulted when people stare or ask if the locks are real, etc. You may not like being stared at or talked about but not everyone has bad things to say. Some are just curious, some see it as a form of art, and some are just rude.

I am really wierd when it comes to piercings. (as far as the what most believe anyways) While I believe it is ok for a female to have pierced ears, I think they normally look ridiculous on men. Men normally only look good with tongue, labaret, and nipple piercings. Women look good with them all. I have had my tongue piercing for almost 8 years now, and it has never been infected or caused me any problems. I love wearing my gold tongue ring on special occasions. It is simply nothing but jewelry, and no different than wearing your favorite ring or necklace.....and it is definately a personal thing.

I personally like places like the bellybutton and the nose. Not too much piercings. Maybe one or two.

It's a matter of self-expression. If you choose to get a body piercing then that's your choice but please try to draw the line somewhere. People with more metal in their face than flesh just look ridiculous.

Get enough of these and you have a little trouble getting through the metal detectors at the airport. Then, if you're really lucky, you can experience another trend called cavity searches.

Ear piercings on females are fine. They add an air of class to a woman (that's not to say that a woman can't look absolutely stunning w/o them), and look nice to boot. However, all of these other piercings boggle (or, scrabble :)) the mind to the point of goofiness. Piercings in places like the nose, belly, and tounge are dangerous, useless and prone to infection. As for genital piercings, I won't even get in to that frightening dillema.
