I have a single tattoo on my arm done when I was young. I'm extremely unlikely to get another, but I have no problem with those who get something discrete. The full sleeve look, or anything on the hands and face, just screams dumbass.

i am a BIG fan of tattoos! im only 18 and i have three. ive always wanted one,so i got my first at 17 only a little butterfly on my shoulder, its cute but it definatly made me want another. then i moved on to my second which it was my own design ( which i got told was very artistic) its a angel, quite big i must say which is on my leg :) and last but not least my bow at the bottom of my back. ive had lots of positive comments about it. i have to admit it kinda did hurt :( but it was worth while. im only young so i crnt see me getting anymore in the near futher, for now im satisfied :) x x x

I like tattoos on some people. I have a sunflower on my right arm / shoulder that I've had for a long time. It means something to me, and there's a reason I got it. The advice that I give people with tattoos is that if you have to try and figure out what tattoo to get, don't get one.

As with most everyone I think that it's a form of expression, and with proper discretion, I like them. Mine is small, as my next one will also be small. I can hide or show them off whenever I need/want to. Location and size are always major factors for me, because there are times that these things shouldn't necessarily be visible. So, unless you work in a bar or tattoo parlor (or plan on wearing long sleeves no matter the type of weather) I don't suggest tattoo sleeves.

Tattoos are such an individual form of expressions I am not a collector myself but admire the long lasting superior artwork of a talented tattooist. Most of the time someone starts out with something very small and continues with this until they look like a posterboard never really being satisfied. Whereas if they just get one big nice piece from an accomplished artistit satisfies their desire for skin art and it looks much better and is economically more sensible too. I remember telling my mom and dad when I was younger I liked tatoos!! There are no emotional issues that have lead to this, I view them as art for myself not to show off to others. I am a college graduate, married, and a preschool teacher at that. I am catholic and if any has the bible theory look at the rest of Leviticus because it also says men shouldn't shave their sidelocks (sideburns). It is the old testament and left to interpertation. If someone judges me by my body or appearance then obviously I don't need them in my life. When I am 80- do I really think I am going to be sexy?? God no I will be wrinkled- so it doesn't matter to me if I have tattoos and what they will look like!!

I have no tattoos and never plan on getting one, but getting a small and discreet tattoo seems harmless to me. But beyond that, I cringe at the sight of one of them. Just think at what the tattoo will look like when your eighty!

This is another very personal expression. I have a few myself. If you have them in places where all can see them, please remember that age and gravity can make things look very different than they once did.

I have a tattoo on my right arm that I have now had for nearly 5 years. Its a tribal jewel design which wraps around the front part of the arm. I have been complimented on my tattoo god knows how many times and had it done because I love the design and I wanted this done for me. I don't like the fact that people are getting this done because their favourite celebs are - after all, a permanent tattoo is for life and if you do want to get rid of it, it is very expensive and it might not totally work. You really have to think this one through properly

It depends on the location and design. Tattoos made by a drunken designer is terrible. Those that are professionally drawn on a person can be beautiful. Back tattoos and leg tattoos are gawdy. I have seen beautiful art work on a few individuals who took pride in their displays instead of just doing it to be cool.
