When my brother was suffering from over-weight related problems, the doctor recommended him to lose weight immediately. I tried dieting but failed. It didn't help him lose weight but he became too weak. The next time the doctor recommended him exercise and to keep watch on his diet but for many months it was a challenge for him to keep a check on his appetite. We were fortunate when we came to know about Phentramin-d a diet pill which is an appetite suppressant. When we read user experience that he is not the only one to suffer we found many people with similar conditions, http://p.gs/0hxm4In about 6 months, he lost 80 pounds and now he is back to his normal life.

Thousands of people die every year from anorexia and bulimia. It is a very serious addiction that needs to be stopped but it is very hard to stop.

Personally I do not understand why people go on diet after diet, and most of them aren't worth the paper they're written on. When all else fails, push away from the table a little sooner. Now that's a diet that works!

It certainly isn't the worst of addictions, it is mainly annoying though for the person doing all the dieting, but also for people who have to watch them constantly oppress themselves. If people ate right in the first place, they wouldn't have to diet. We should eat a balanced diet, but that doesn't mean you can't have junk food. Just cut back on it and do plenty of exercise. There are also other tactics such as not having a big meal before you go to bed.

Dieting is generally healthy as long as it is done in moderation. If it's an addiction then it's something that can be concerned about. It can lead to self-esteem isues and eating disorders.

One of my friend's family has a strange diet of the month deal going on that is a bit disturbing (don't get me wrong, they're nice people, I just find their tactics to be a little weird). One such diet was one where the person would take two breaths in quickly, hold it, then force another breath before releasing the air from their lungs. I'm not quite sure how breathing is supposed to make you lose weight. They're constantly on some new protein diet. The women who did these are in excellent shape (without the benefit of any diet they might be on), and one is even a nurse, so it is a bit strange that they would have these odd little diet rituals. Constant dieting seems like a sign of troubled self-esteem to me, so I find this addiction something to worry about.
