I don't think I would turn my back to Kobe Bryant if he had a knife in his hands. The man is a great basketball player, but he seems to have evolved into some being who thinks he is above everybody else. He is a potential rapist, which is absolutely awful. And even if he didn't rape that woman, he was still cheating on his wife. Kobe Bryant is definitely not a likable character.

Kobe Bryant provides the classic example of a talent whose ego became bigger than his team. Notwithstanding the controversy surrounding his rape trial, Kobe had the gall to insist he needed no one to get the Lakers to the championship. Fast-forward to the 2004-05 NBA playoffs: where are the Lakers now? This just goes to show that Kobe was never the perfect basketball player, much less a teammate who can inspire his team (like he misguidingly thought). It's about TEAM, not SELF.
