Metal music played with punk sensibilities, but very riff-oriented. Vocals are shouted, and lyrics range from the angry to the humorous. More percussive than melodic, with power chords and very few solos. (Add picture)

Slayer is thrash, and Slayer is best.

Also don't forget that Metallica, Megadeth, Antrhax, and Pantera are also thrash.
