07/10/2006 | Carly Simon really hit the ground running with her self-titled debut release in 1971, won the Grammy for Best New Artist for that year, continued to burn brightly for a few years, and then essentially fizzled out in mainstream popularity. During her heyday, Simon released some great singles including "That's The Way I've Always Heard It Should Be," "You're So Vain," and "Anticipation", though she did release a few notable singles after 1975 (e.g. "Nobody Does It Better" and "The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of"). Carly Simon was born on June 25, 1945 in New York City.
